Want to join us for the Sweet Summer Reads here at Carthage College? It's simple and fun. Read the steps below to learn how it works.
- Fill out the registration form (complete the electronic form here, pick a form up at the library, or download the form on the Download Paperwork tab).
- Email or bring your completed form to Hedberg Library. If you complete the online form we will contact you when we have processed it.
- We will create your child/ren's library card and prepare a Tickets to Adventure packet. These will be available for pickup at the Circulation Desk during regular library hours.
- Get books. You can check out up to 6 books at a time in the Center for Children's Literature (downstairs in Hedberg) or visit a local library.
- Read. Each picture book or 20 minutes of reading earns you a stamp in your passport.
- When you have 15 stamps you can come in and present your passport to the library staff to select a prize.
- Join us for any or all of the four events scheduled throughout the summer.
