Your course layout and organization is a critical component in helping students access assignments, readings, powerpoints, and other course material you have on schoology. While there are multiple ways to structure your course, there is definitely one way you want to avoid, and that is creating a laundry list of items that looks like this, which is obviously disorganized and confusing to the end user.
All layouts employ the same concepts to add material, create assignments, etc. However, the layout method you choose may be determined by if your class meets in person, meets only one day a week, or meets mainly through Zoom. Layout 1: Organized by type of item, i.e. Powerpoints, Assignments, etc. Layout 2: Organized by topic Layout 3: Organized the week Layout 4: Organized by day or week including the use of Pages to further explain material, assignments, learning outcomes, etc. |
