Fairy Good Tales Summer Reading Program

Want to join us for the Fairy Good Tales here at Carthage College? It's simple and fun. Read the steps below to learn how it works.

1. Fill out the registration form (complete the electronic form here, pick a form up at the library, or download the form on the Download Paperwork tab).
2. Email or bring your completed form to Hedberg Library. If you complete the online form, we will contact you when we have processed it.
3.  We will create your child/ren's library card and prepare a Fairy Good Tales packet. These will be available for pickup at the Circulation Desk during regular library hours.
4. Get books. You can check out up to 6 books at a time in the Center for Children's Literature (downstairs in Hedberg) or visit a local library.
5. Read. For each picture book or 20 minutes of reading, color in one book on your reading chart.
6. When you have 12 books colored you can come in and present your passport to the library staff to select a prize. 
7. Join us for any or all of the four events scheduled throughout the summer and our end-of-the-program cupcake party.
